Mystery and Wonder is music that intentionally lifts us up so we can transcend heavy clouds of feelings and connect with the sunlight that’s always there illuminating the golden essence of the heart. Because of the very deep spiritual intention behind this music, it is powerful medicine for uncertain times.
Hatred never ceases by hatred; But by love alone is healed. This is an ancient and eternal law.

Singing and Raising the Vibe at These Fine Venues:
Ben Black – Vocalist and Composer
Origin Recording Artist
My original music and lyrics are influenced by my deep interest, study, and practice of Tibetan and Zen Buddhism. Through the years, I have incorporated my spiritual journey with my artistic growth and direction as a singer/songwriter. On my musical path, I have had the good fortune to perform in concert with celebrated jazz pianist, Jessica Williams, have produced my own cabaret shows, recorded and performed in new opera-theatre productions with the innovative Fisher Ensemble in New York City and Seattle, and have performed my own original music live in the U.S. and Canada. I have continued my Buddhist studies internationally, in Asia, and have gone on to complete a certified two year training in Contemplative Psychology. Love, compassion and peace are the tenets of Buddhism that I have tried to capture and convey in my songs. With gratitude, I offer this to the world as a gift, with the hope that it is received with the beauty and care that I intended. May this music lift your spirits and bring you joy!
